still Aod gearbox problem

hi Guys,
have an issue,needs an advice.
56 Ford f100 with 302 +aod.when I put in gear the car goes without to touch throttle.the truck is on stands.adjusted the tv cable, pressure is between 30-35 and 0.we did change pressure to 0 and put it in gear, rear wheels still turn very fast.what could be the problem, torque converter or anything else?I just don't need a big issue at the moment.thanks for help,Tushy

If your truck is on stands with the wheels off the ground, it is quite normal for the wheels to turn with the engine running and the trans in any gear besides park, even at a low idle speed. It needs the resistance of the weight of the vehicle with the wheels on the ground to prevent turning. Just be sure to use the brakes to stop the wheels from turning before putting the trans back in park. You'll have loud grinding from the park pawl and may take a chance on breaking it if you don't.
