Electrical wiring short (possibly)

Electrical wiring short (possibly)
2002 F-250, V-10, 4X4 Crew
I need help on a wiring run, for the Red with Yellow tracer going from fuse box #45 (Ignition Switch Run/Start feed).
10 amp fuse blew, replaced with another and it lasted about 3 hour drive. Thus I assume that there is a short in the wiring somewhere.
I disconnected the battery then removed the fuse block from chassis and pulled the plug disconnect from back of fuse block and found the red with yellow tracer wire. Followed the wiring run to the main bundle that goes thru firewall no signs of wear or abrasion on any, but added electrical tape to the wires from fuse plug to the joint of main bundle, sort of belt and suspenders thinking.
Since I didn't find anything evident under the dash, excepting two aggressive spiders and one rather large dust bunny, think the possible short exists on engine side of firewall.
Can anyone give insight in where this wire feeds to in engine compartment?
Not knowing if it goes into any relays or directly to an end point I believe that running a continuity test might help me in finding a short situation. The run of this wire is where I need assistance. Any thoughts on what I might do to find and correct are greatly appreciated.
Thanking in advance
