Anybody in WA had this come up?

I went to my local dealership to get an Oasis report and
was told they couldn't give me one due to WA state privacy
laws unless:
(1) I was the owner.
(2) it was for warranty work.
(3) was requested at the time the warranty work was done.

 

All 3 criteria must be met?

I honestly do not see how an Oasis is really any different than a Carfax.

I sort of see where they are coming from.
However your right anyone can get a Carfax.

Best thing to do is to ask your salesman for a copy
if it happens to be a Ford Dealer.
If you are doing pre-sales you could go to a Ford Dealer and ask nice
and tell they why you are looking and ask if they would look at it and let you
know if it is a lemon or not.

Oasis is knowen contain personal information. It really has nothing to do with WA

i'd read from other posts/forums i had never
seen that mentioned before. didn't know if
i was getting the run around or not.
