tow/haul button

my last truck i had then the tow mode was turned on it would knock down my milage by 4mpg, so i was wonderig if it does the same on these trucks . also should i use that button as soon as i put a trailer on . or am i fine without it pulling a 2k load . sorry if these are dumb questions guys

Tow Haul only changes the shift points and provides some engine braking to help save your brakes.

Previous trucks it was more of deleting the overdrive. Not the case here.

For a 2K load I would not even bother. Get up around 5K then you may see some benefit when slowing down.

As Senix said, no knock down in mileage. Saves on you brakes with heavier loads. But with a 2k load, no need for it.
