6.4L exhaust options

Hi,

I'm in the market to purchase some bolt ons.
I've decided on the S&B intake, the XRT race tuner because the extra money for a screen seems pointless, and an exhaust. I need help deciding on the Exhaust.

I was thinking the diamond eye 4" or 5" turbo back kit. What's the difference between the two?
Would it be better to buy my second choice (more expensive) MBRP down pipe back + replace down pipe with their product?

OR leave factory down pipe and just do a Downpipe back exhaust?

A local diesel shop is offering: XRT+KN drop in filter + down pipe back Magnaflow exhaust installed for 1600 (1500 without KN).
They also recommended leaving in the down pipe because I don't plan to build the motor up and it won't make much of a difference.

I was hoping for more input from people here because the other local shops aren't diesel
specific. PS the local shop is GAW: Gabby Auto Works... Very reputable.

Thanks again,

Gary

better have something to monitor temps. Might want to reconsider the no screen issue.

Also Banks makes a single or dual exhaust option. More designed for DPF on but since you are deleting you will need a straight pipe or the complete exhaust anyway.

Definitely get the screen as Senix said. You MUST monitor EGT's, Oil and coolant temps when running high HP.

I would get the K&N drop in. Bad reviews and with the tuner, you'll trip your filter minder and most likely get a CEL. Also, K&N has fitment issues to the stock air box. S&B, aFe or Banks would be my rec.

You can simply insert a delete pipe in place of the DPF/DOC. Or just about any 4" downpipe back system is sufficient. I have a 4" aFe down pipe back with a Powerstroker67 downpipe from the turbo. Sounds like a jet engine. Even at idle, it's pretty obnoxious from the passenger side.
