Before you replace your transmission, maybe you should fix the one you have?

What's the difference if he rebuilds the one he has or uses it as a core for a different rebuild?

I don't know, I was asking redford. He recommended fixing the one in the truck. I don't see the difference between rebuilding that one and replacing it with a different rebuild.

I guess there could be something wrong that didn't require a rebuild. Getting into the hypothetical now though.

I pull a trailer every day with this truck so I need a bullet proof transmission. I dont want to go back to the factory specs because it will happen again.

I think I'm gonna go with a new monster tranny. Does anyone have anything to say (good or bad) about monster?

what is the price difference between Monster and a BTS?

tons of PSD guys running the BTS trans behind some pretty high powered motors. It's also the trans of choice for quite a few Lightning guys.

I don't understand why, but for some reason the 4r100 trans is a real PITA to rebuild. I don't know how many threads I've read about them being improperly rebuilt by local shops who mess it up

If you can swing it, BTS is definitely top notch. But a tad more expensive than most other rebuilds.
