Should I be satisfied with this alignment result?

I asked the tech to get everything zeroed out, but he said when he changed one thing it would change another. I feel like he basically gave up, and he was not familiar with the truck at all which gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling. Cost 100 bucks.

I know I have taken my vehicles back in on a different day and got a different tech to work on it. That can be good, but also could make it worse. Can't see where you went, but most shops will have a guarantee on the alignment. If you are not happy or suspect it could be done better then take it back until you are satisfied. The shop works for you!

Take it back. If it is too worn here and there they can't do it but they have to tell you . I do my own with levels, strings, sight , etc and it is always fine. It's not the rocket science it appears to be.

And why zero it out? How is he going to zero the built in camber and caster? Something wrong with the stock specs? Did it track well and wear the tires well? Are all the front end parts good? That showed 2wd is yours 4wd?

How does it drive? I'd worry less about what a piece of paper says and more about how it feels or if it wears the tires funny.

If he's having issues with the reading staying constant, it could be worn tie rod ends, or just an incompetent tech. I took my truck to a shop 3 different times trying to get them to fix their $100 alignment and it still didn't feel quite right. I finally gave up on them and went to a different shop and paid for another alignment. That made all the difference, and I've been fine since.

It actually drives pretty decent, and I have no real complaint. I am just trying to continue the pursuit of it not wondering some day. My main issue is just that he couldn't zero it out after reading a couple excursion forum threads that said zeroing was right and all else was imperfect.

Well when you start driving on roads that are perfectly flat with no imperfections, and have tires that are absolutely symmetrical and balanced, then you can start worrying about having a perfectly zeroed alignment. I didn't read the numbers on your sheet, but if you're pretty close, a perfect zero is not needed. If it pulls or wears tires funny, it needs to be fixed. If it drives and handles good with no abnormal wear, be happy with it.

Tires are better off too when they are perfect and require no weights to balance them. But most of us are plenty happy with a tire that's close enough once a few weights are added.

It will take replacing the upper BJ bushing to fix the camber/caster issue. the numbers look decent considering. the toe looks like it could be better, but if it drives good watch the tire to see if they wear evenly. if they do leave it. otherwise take it back.

It's really not that complicated. All you can do on the 4wd is set the toe in and I can do that in minutes with a tape measure and sighting with the back wheels. If you have to get special eccentric bushings for the upper BG you probably have worn parts somewhere which have to be addressed before any aligning will work. After your parts are all good, you can't ask for more that easy steering, good tracking, and good tire wear. It's kind of like losing weight; If your pants feel like they are a little looser and the buckle went up a notch, you are loosing weight and no need to look at the scale every 4 hours.

I have always done my own alignments with almost no tools involved but I'm not going to get into that because bah humbugs will want to argue. F-350 6 has the idea, read that post again.
