Installing a new belt around the crank pulley

I've got a flat 6 in my 51. Any tips on how to install a new belt. Not much room to work with under the crank pulley. Can't slide the belt under it. Will I have to remove the crank pulley?

What condition are your engine mounts? Should not have to remove pulley.

Your rubber front engine mounts have deteriated. Mine had rotted out when I got the truck and it only had about an 1/8 between the pulley and the frame.

There was another person with the same issue some time ago. It was determined that the rubber mounts were deteriorated and did not provide enough space to get the belt changed.

Now you have to buy new mounts. Don't you love this hobby?
