So I was driving..........and saw

So this guy has this original '60 crew cab sitting there next to his shop. I asked about it and he is just using the chassis for something, and is scrapping the cab. So I was like I'll take it!

Its a mess, the back is chopped out for storage and the roof is covered in fiberglass for some reason, but the rear doors and B pillars are intact and straight. It still has the US NAVY build tag riveted to the fender!

I want those vice grips, they look like 1950's vice grips. I have a pair from the 40's and they are just as good as the ones they make now.

No doubt they are made out of better material!

I'm in MN, and I've been looking for a '57-60 F500 or F600, 143" WB. Cool finds!

I believe the "lollipop" turn signals were a factory option. I had them on mine since new but removed them when I replaced the fenders.

I didn't even know they made these in crew cabs. I wish I had the skills to make an extended cab.

That is a cool truck, can't wait to see what you do with it next!

The big trucks are always a favorite of mine, seems most people just want to rip them apart and make a rat rod though. Never did understand that.

I saw a 68 or so F800 driving around my neighborhood the other day and it had the factory hood scoop, I got to get one of those scoops! Heck, I wouldn't mind owning the whole truck! But my pickup is all that fits in the driveway at the moment, so I'm just going to stick some big truck parts on it.

Somebody pn the 73-79 section had a 74? 4x4 with some of those superduty emblems on it, looked real cool!

Me neither. I play guitar and see the same thing. they take a perfectly good guitar and 'relic' it. Battle scars are one thing. Making it look ugly just because is idiocy IMO

Ok so I picked up the 60 crew cab tonight! Brought it to the new shop in the dark...pics to come in the daylight.
Soon I'm starting the metal work on it, should be an extensive project, but im right on schedule.

Should I start a build thread? Input needed
