Wow, that sucks. I know some E-vans are made here in NEOhio, I wonder if they are re-tooling or will be shut down.

they are supposed to be retooling to replace the E-series with a newer and larger version of the transit connect. the current transit is made in Hungary.
once the E is killed off, the transit will be made here.

I'm always worried when I hear about european design, whether it'll still be made here or not.

The Transit is tried and true in Europe. I'm sure we will manage to ruin it.

August 2013 is the last month for E-series production at Ohio Assembly, then they retool to make the F650/750.

Walton Hills Stamping, which makes panels for the E-series is currently set to close when E-series production ends.

As for the new full size Transit, its made in Kansas City in the same facility where the Escape used to be built. Escapes are now built in Louisville.
