Seized brake rotors.

I know this is really stupid, but I am changing the ball joints on my '90 F-150 4x4. I have taken all the 'guts' out of the hub, and am currently looking at the bearing. Everywhere i've read says the rotor should come right off, but after an hour of tapping around the lug studs, and the crown of the rotor it isn't budging. Any ideas? Btw, I don't have a torch. ಠ_ಠ

Lets see.

If "Manual" hubs,

Have inner and outer wheel bearing nuts, have four notches the special socket locks into, have those both out?

You would have noted a large washer with little holes in it all the way around between the two nuts.

"Auto" hubs,

Locking wedge with a single hex shaped wheel bearing nut, have it off?

The outer wheel bearing would fall out (careful, land in the dirt) if move the rotor, then good yank removes the rotor.

If have nuts/nut removed outer won't come out then yea have a burnt bearing welding its race to the spindle. You're gonna have some trouble getting it off.

Manual hubs.

Ive just taken the outer nut off then. Does this thing I am looking at now use the same special socket? Can't get it to fit...

Yea washer just sitting there now, myself I use snap ring pliers to remove/replace it.

Put snap ring pliers tips into two holes near the tab that fits in the grove, squeeze and pull the washer outta there.

Make sure you note the little pin in the face of the inner wheel bearing nut, it fits into one of the holes in that washer with the tab in its grove in the spindle.

If it doesn't line up first try, flip it over try again (usually works but not always), if still doesn't line up slightly loosen inner nut until it does line up with the nearest hole.

Okay, so I figured it out. Thanks so much! The Youtube video I watched never mentioned TWO lock nuts, and neither did the Chiltons manual I purchased this morning.
