I have a 99 F350 SD DRW Crew cab, and recently, not sure what my daughter did, but when she went to open the passenger side rear door from the outside, something let go and the latch doesn't unlatch anymore. I cant open the door from the inside either.

any one have a good idea on how to get the door open?

 

Hi X1Lighning, My 99' F350 DRW just did the exact same thing! From what I've read and have been told we'll need to remove the rear seat in order to get the inside panel off of the door to get to the problem inside of the door to fix it. Hope this helps? Good luck!

 

almost 2 years later i finally got around to pulling the door panel, but i cant get the door to unlatch to get it open, what do i need to push or pull inside the door to get it to release?

 

i was able to get the door open finally, there was a small lever on the top side of the latch, i had to use a modified screw driver to pull it(just took a flat head, and gave it a 90 degree bend near the tip), after i got the door open i was able to lubricate the latch up, and now it works perfectly
