I know for a fact its an original 4x4, my recollection reading from others is the 59 4x4 had F10 code. Anyways my cab has the 4x4 braces. Its an original 4x4 that's my daily driver, just drove it to Sacramento on Friday to get a Tailgate from Robert Mitchell, great guy, he threw in the chains and hinges.
"Well, I am certainly not an expert, I have been corrected on several occasions but I still continue to try to help folks as best I can. The first thing is, it looks like your truck was originally not a 4X4! The first three letters of you VIN are F10! That is for two wheel drive. F11 was for four by four. "

Robert is a good guy. I just bought a bench seat from him the other day for one of my trucks. sorry my commment didn't post correctly, novice on quoting someone else. I edited it after. I don't doubt the factory 4wd was just curious on the cab reinforcements. Thanks for the reply. I have a factory 4wd 60 truck. they are great. My wife takes it every chance she gets.

Thanks you guys, I love this truck, still have a ways to go painting the inside and replacing the headliner and bench upholstery.
It's now a daily driver and everything now works (need to replace front differential gears to match rear).
Will probably do a disc brake conversion to make it safe on the freeway. It's a real head turner. Paint is Rustoleum rattle can Spa Blue, wet sanded to 5k grit. Polished and buffed with a Polymer sealant.
