Milk truck on ebay

Ford : Other Pickups Milk Truck

Just in case some of you don't have as much time to waste as I seem to have and haven't seen this on ebay, here is another one to look at. While $6,600 may be too much, it is pretty cool. I am really glad that I don't have the room...

Isn't there some etiquette about mentioning something like this and a link being required?

Is this it? Ford : Other Pickups Milk Truck in Ford | eBay Motors

There was a discussion on this here the other day.

On the milk truck or on linking etiquette? Sorry, I think I missed the discussion...

That said, even though the price is a bit steep IMO, the truck has a pretty nicely shaped box on the back. What's the story on the builder?

Posting about a cool truck for sale without the link is kind of like saying you bought a truck and not posting pictures.

Here is the discussion on that truck, looking back at the thread there really wasn't much of one: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...tion-help.html

I don't have any info on the builder, it looks like it has gone through a few different hands since being built. I agree, I think the price is a little steep. It's really cool, but I'm not sure what the market is for something like this.

That's a cool old truck. If I had one more project left in me; if I had the money to buy it; and, if I had a garage big enough to store it, I'd buy it. The price seems reasonable for such a rare truck...

Not a lack of etiquette, more of a lack of brain cells. I forgot to include the link, but you got it right.

Milk truck and Good Guys

I had looked at that truck more than 10 years ago, it used to be an advertisement in front of a liquor store in Baldwin City, not far from Ottawa where it is for sale. (edit, duh! just read the listing which basically says the same thing, guess I can vouch for it!) Looks like someone took the lazy way out and just cut away the lower front fenders instead of repairing the rust. We have at least one of these (under F3) in the FTE gallery.

BTW, went to Good Guys at the KS Speedway last weekend, saw a 53 F-500 for sale in the swap meet area. Good to average original condition, no rust through anywhere I could see (doors and cab corners). The sign said "$2500 runs and drives" but when I looked through the grill (it was on a trailer) it did not have a radiator! It had a hoist but an all wood bed that was dry rotted. Lots of Ford trucks in the show, most of them very fine. Great time.

Ah... I got it now! Thanks for posting the thread link too. Looks like the paint job took a bit of a beating when they stripped off all of the liquor store info.

Saw the remnants of one on a trailer headed into my local town this afternoon. I almost turned around to chase him down! It's the MSRA Fall campout in town this weekend, so maybe they were hauling it into town for swap fodder. I'll check it out then. But I was shocked to see it go by, lol.
