Anyone heard anything out of James lately? Haven't seen a post from him all month. Guess they've got him hoping at the shop, which is a good thing ($$$).
While I'm not saying the batteries are the issue...the 6.0L will act like it's got a miss/dead injector sometimes if the batteries are weak. I don't know about the 7.3L; but for what ever reason the charging system on the 6.0L won't start-up until after the glow plugs shut off. Thus if the batteries aren't up to the task...once the truck starts strange electrical issues pop-up until the GP shut down. Even in this weather the glow plugs still help these trucks start...you need heat for diesel to burn. They're just not on as long as they would be in colder weather.
One thing I have learned from the 6.0L part of the forum...not all Ford dealerships are created equal. Some have better techs than others, while others just as soon through parts at a truck. I assume nothing when it comes to a HUEI fuel system. But this all goes back to me using 6.0L knowledge in the 7.3L world; doesn't always work out too well.
