Easy to remove the carpet for cleaning?
Hi
I own a 2008 F-250 SuperCab and the carpet is nasty, probably the best thing I can do is take it out, wash it, dry it and back into the truck.
Does anyone know if it's easy to pull out the carpet?
Will the carpet shrink or something like that?
If you have done it, any gotchas?
Thanks
Gaspar

It's not that difficult but it is time consuming and will require some big torx bits. You will have to remove the seats, upper and lower seatbelt attachments, and the trim that touches the carpet.
If you're going through all of that work, I'd suggest looking into dynamat or fatmat or one of the simlar sound deadener liners. While you have the carpet out it would be a good time if you want to isolate some road noise.
I'm not sure how you intend to clean it while the carpets out, so here's an idea. Instead of doing all of actually removing the carpet, how about removing the seats, vacuuming it out and renting a hand held steam cleaner? You rent steam cleaners from various places, here you can find them at most hardware, grocery and walmart/target stores. With the carpet being gently held in place by the trim you can work on it easier than trying to spread it on the ground and deal with the molded features caving in or folding while you clean.

I was thinking to hose it off then scrub it with a brush and power wash it..
but if its a pain to get it out then probably I'll go with the rental first and see the results..
I still will probably take the seats out cause under there is so much dirt, this was a field truck and there is dirt everywhere...
Thanks
