Good Morning Everybody!
RC. On the plus side, you got the '50 to move around under it's own power. That's a "win" in my book.
Ches. It's probably the master cylinder. If the calipers were still on the truck/car when you took the wheel off, the master is the first thing I'd check. If the brakes were worn bad and the rotor was on a crazy angle, you may have thrown the proportioning valve slide over. Then if that's the case, you'll have to move it back.
I just got back from a 2 1/2+ mile run and got the girls up for school. Everyone is saying they need to start working out and get active, yet, I'm the only one doing anything. Maybe THEY expect to lose weight by watching ME work out?

RC. If that's the way it worked, I'd be a millionaire and this nation's cure to obesity. Unfortunately, ya' gotta' put the time and effort in. If you keep throwing car and truck parts around, that's a pretty darn good work out right there.
I'm gonna go out and finish the rust repair on the lower A pillar on the '66 and move around to the other side and shave the chrome today. Maybe I'll even start fitting the doors. The cab moved around a little on me when I had the bottom cut off. So I have to "massage" the doors a tad to get them to close nice.

Good morning everybody. Got a lead yesterday on a pair of Nova's a 73 and 74. I'm contemplating the deal because a brake job is what's involved to pay for the both of them. neither has an engine but both have transmissions and are rollers with good titles. Might end up with a couple to sell projects for this winter. As if I need something else to mess with.

Well glad to see you are all about "Project Overwhelmation" too.

Rich, ...you suck. That '69 would be killer. Hell, I would've traded the purple car for that one.
The '60 has no power steering, no A/C, no tilt wheel, no power disc brakes, the gas tank is still in the cab, still has the narrow frame with the stiff ride springs, etc. The one I'm building is cooler!
I just ordered the front end parts for my Chevelle. I should be able to bolt it all back together and set it on the ground by the middle of next week. I ordered the parts through Rock Auto. I got Moog and Monroe parts for $60 cheaper (even with the $50 shipping) than the cheap chinese stuff from O'Reily's.

Yes, Chip. Ya' gotta check 'em out. They even beat Summit's prices. The draw back is the shipping costs quite a bit and it's slow. 4-6 days, but for a big order on a project vehicle, I think it's the way to go. The parts alone were only $120 for upper control arm bushings, lower ball joints, front coil springs and front shocks. Shipping was just shy of $50, but with the coil springs and heavy parts, I guess it's not too bad. I just have to wait a few extra days for the parts.
O'Reily's wanted $104 just for the coil springs. The Moog ball joints were $12 through Rock Auto. They were $25 for the chinese brand through the parts store.
