2003 Explorer air vent issues
Please Help,
Trying to figure out what's up, working on 2003 Eddie Bauer Explorer,
hardly any air comes out of any of the vents... Defroster nothing, dash, nothing, floor etc... but can hear blower working all controls seem to be working ie. temp contol, fan control.
Just hardly any air coming from vents, ANY SUGGESTION????? Thanks Very Much

Poor airflow is usually caused by dirt and debris built up on the AC evaporator. All of the air entering the system is pulled through the evap first and it makes a great filter.
If the truck has a cabin filter, check that first. If it does then the evaporator is much less likely to be blocked. Remove it and see if the airflow improves.
One other common culprit is an aftermarket blower motor. I've had some that were wired backward, thus spinning the motor backward and causing poor airflow.
Exposing the evaporator is a big job, so check for a cabin filter and verify the rotation of the blower motor first. It those check out ok, the evap is the problem. I think you can access the evap on your explorer from under the hood, so it's not as bad as some.
