2003 F250 Headlight Problem

I have been trying to get brighter headlights and bought some silver star 9004 bulbs. The problem is on low beam the high beam indicator is on and on high beam the lights get dimmer than low beam. Either way the high beam indicator stays on. Any ideas?

Sounds like you have some wires switched around.

Did you change lamp types? Or did the sockets get
changed at some point?

you need the 9007 bulbs, I believe thats what all superdutys take 99-07 except the XL. 9004 is flip flopped basically.

HEADLAMPS

How did you fit the 9004's into the headlamps ??? The notches (keyways) on the bulbs are in the wrong place, prohibiting the proper installation of the bulbs.

I have the same problem as this but my bulbs are 9007 so thats not going to solve my problem

Ok changed the multi function switch ,tested the light switch changed relays and fuses same problem. Disconnected every ad on . High beam light on dash always on, put on low beam looks like high beam ,put on hi beam looks like very lo beam , fog lights will work all the time (shouldn't with high beam ) my lighting problem might be just a coincides with hooking up a plow . Oh by the way when the plow is hooked up it is the same, lights go out on the truck but same high low problem on the plow.
