Instrument lights
So I found out why none of my gauge lights would come on.
I just now took the dash apart but I figured this was the problem so I pulled a switch while I was at the junkyard today. My question; do I really need to replace the plug? I plugged the new switch in and everything works now. As long as all the connections are made and everything works do I need to worry about it? I'm going to install relays for the headlights so this doesn't happen in the future. Thanks.

It wouldn't hurt to replace the plug, that plug looks like it has been VERY hot more than once.....I'll bet the contacts have been hot and have lost some of their strength (grip) and may work for a while but "may" heat up due to resistance and you will be right back where you were before..
