Cheap lift kits on Ebay...

My research (read searching through the boards here ) says that F250 kits will work for the Ex... I found these cheap kits on ebay.

99-04 FORD F250 4x4 2.8" Front Leveling lift kit F-250 | eBay

I'm only looking for a minor lift. My wife doesnt want to 'climb' into anything. This is just a 2.8" lift and for less than 100$ i feel like I'm missing something... Could it really be that cheap to lift these trucks?

It's actually expensive for what it is and they are the same as front blocks which might be illegal. They only lift the truck and have no effect on bottoming out. There are shackles in there which I plan to get soon that start at $40 and many lengths and will help bottoming.

Ok cool. I didnt plan on lifting any time soon... but I saw them for so cheap I thought it might be cool to buy them and sit on them till I'm ready. Let me know when you do yours.

Custom Diesel has a similar kit that ships for $100....and is made in the U.S.A. I got about 2" of lift from it...very happy with the kit.

Another thing to think about, is you may need a track-bar drop bracket or an adjustable track bar, as it will likely un-align the axle.

The biggest difference between blocks and a mini-spring pack is they have a center pin that goes through them and the actual leaf springs so they can't "pop out" like a block can on the front. (Why most states make a block in the front illegal.)

Blocks on the front are a BAD IDEA! go with lift shackles, or drop hangers or add a leafs.

Still the same as front blocks with cast pin and hole. Pretty much useless and no effect on bottoming. I'm sure it was a ploy to get around using blocks. Overpriced and unsafe as blocks.

These look like mini leafs added to the spring in the front. I think I'll check out the kit tomango was talking about either way, or Exv10's method. Thanks.

They are very short and same as blocks. Expensive garbage. You like bottoming out? No need to wait for me to act, I already know what the outcome will be.............go shackles

I would LOVE to hear your reasoning behind this bold statement.

How much are (4) U-Bolts alone?

$100 shipped is a pretty damn good deal in my book....especially since the ride doesn't get harshened up from add-a leafs.....and a whole lot cheaper than new shackle/hanger kits.

If you read my posts you will see that the shackes start at $40 (and they are 3/8" thick.) What U-bolts? Plus they don't affect the ride and you get the added bonus of less bottoming.......what's to lose? Just admit you missed the boat.
