I received the Ford door sills yesterday that I had won off Ebay. They were brand new in the box, and had everything but instructions. Since Ford recommends a dealer installation, that's probably why there were none. Not to be outdone, I posted on the12volt.com asking where the dome light wire(s) were. I wanted the sills to light upon entry and turn off when the dome lights went off (theater lighting). Flobee4 on 12volt answered my question within an hour with exactly what I was looking for. Several months ago I had also ordered some mini LED's from Oznium with intentions of putting them in my console cupholders, but never got around to it. I still haven't done that, but I used 3 of them for footwell lights off the same circuit. I put one led in the driver's footwell and two on the passenger side. I've labeled the images so they should be self explanatory. Next time I'm doing the console lighting. I'll also post some night pics of the door sills later

I've been planning to order a set for my Expy also. Can you tell me what color the dome light harness wires are? It looks like they were behind the kick panels.

Both of these are Positive polarity and located at the SJB in the passenger kick Panel
Excellent. Thanks for the info. I knew I could figure it out, but it's nice to know what you're getting into before getting started. (especially on a brand new truck)
I guess I have no excuse not to get mine on order!
From start to finish was about 3 hours. I really took my time and kept to the saying "Measure twice, cut once". If I did it again could probably do it in about an hour and a half.

Not sure cause yours is 4 years older than mine, but on mine it was the purple/gray wire coming out of the power box behind the passenger kick panel. I got my leds from Oznium. Already has a resistor in place, prewired, all you have to do is connect pos. and neg and you're there
