Nah, my 5 year old stuck tennis ***** in there. It drives the dogs nuts when they sneak into the garage.


I also found a member on here who was getting rid of a set of L&L coated 460 swap-fenderwell exit headers. We worked out a deal and they are on there way to me. Should help with several problems, and I'm sure it will create some other ones.

 

On Sept. 6th I had a motorcycle accident and fractured my right hip, two of my lumbar vertebrae, and separated my left shoulder. I spent a week in the hospital and a week in rehab before I got to come home. I still have to have another surgery on my shoulder at the end of October to fix my shoulder. My brother is here for a week helping me get the house set up so I can get around in my wheelchair. I'll be in the chair for 6-8 months while I rehab my hip and shoulder, assuming they both heal.
We have decided that part of my rehab is going to be sure I don't go stir crazy being stuck in the house that long. So we (my brother) is undertaking the challenge of cleaning the garage enough to that I can roll in and work on minor things on the Bronco. I'm thinking I will hopefully be able to do little things like polishing the trim and reinstalling it. I'm not sure how much other stuff I will be able to do but I am up for the challenge.
I'm thankful I'm alive to continue spending time with my family. I'm glad that I have always told my son I love him before I tuck him into bed, and told my wife I love her before I leave the house for work.
I guess you can all look for little updates on the Bronco in the next few months.

Damn, glad you are alive and mostly ok. Sorry to hear about though. It's nice to have a brother who is willing to help so much eh? My brother and I are a little similar excusing the fact that he owes me a few thousand in "I.O.U"s. But what are brothers for? Get better soon!

 

No pics of the bike. It was my 2015 Harley Road King work motorcycle. It is at the shop getting rebuilt. The Sheriff told me it will be all fixed and waiting for me to get back on it once I recover.

Yes it does. It also shows how many of the friends that tell you they will be there for anything actually show up when you really need help.

Thanks, my brother has been indispensable and I'm glad he was able to take the time off to come visit and help out.

Well I have progressed enough in my healing so I am walking (with a walker) and can actually spend some time working in my garage. I am waiting to have surgery to finally repair my dislocated left shoulder at the end of this month. Once that happens I will lose the use of my left arm for 3-4 weeks before I will start therapy to fix it.
I have not been able to do much to the Bronco yet but i did finally open the package from Ruff Stuff with the shackle flip in it. Here are some pics for those of you considering this mod. The welding and fab work they do on these is very impressive. I found only a few spots that will need to be sanded smooth before I paint everything. I just need to figure out what color I want to paint it all.

The other things I've been doing in the garage are not directly related to improving the Bronco but they will help when I'm working on it because they are helping me get organized in the garage. It holds 2 cordless drills, cordless impact, corded drill, corded impact, sawzall, and jigsaw. I also managed to fit all of my drill bits and drivers in it. It is really nice to have all the tools and accessories for the tools in the same place. The battery chargers are on the top shelf.

The last project is a spray paint organizer. It is 15" wide and 50" tall and will hold 50 spray cans. It is hanging on the drill organizer on my tool box right now while I clear the wall space that it is going to get mounted to later.

As for the shackle flip, I had considered it instead of replacing my leaf springs. However the main reason was because I didn't want to be riding in a sodden cart over train tracks. I have since reconsidered after viewing the Superflex 5.5 inch lift kit. If I can get JBG to ship them to me that is...

 

Had shoulder surgery on Jan 29th so I'm spending the next few weeks sitting on the couch watching TV and playing on the net. The good news is I was searching Craigslist and found several parts for the Bronco that I'm going to pick up in 2 weeks. Got an NP205, Ididit aftermarket steering column with nice steering wheel, Borgeson steering shaft, 7 aftermarket gauges already mocked into a factory dash, front antiswaybar setup, and factory blue sun visors. I know it will be close to 2 months before my shoulder is healed enough to work on the Bronco but it's working out nice that I am getting several parts lined up to install once I'm healed. I'm hoping to be able to at least clean and paint a few of the parts I've picked up. Of course pics to follow once I pick up the parts.

I love threads like this. Personally, I wouldn't have touched that projects in the condition it was in, but it's awesome to see people pull these restoration jobs off. It's really looking great. Nice job!
