Some Coolant info for ya powerstroke

I have known for a while that the coolant Im running is not the best for my truck and I wasnt to concerned due to the fact I was changing my motor. You know - I will fix it then - lol. Well that has been over 12 mth and Im yet to put the motor in. So Im at that stage now and thought I would look it up so I can start fresh with this engine. This is a interseting read with some good instructions and is the way mine is set up. As for some Technical info (for Simon) read post #4

Nice work! No tap water!
Does Nulon have a diesel specific coolant that measures up?

The Cummins truck maintanance place in the next town sells a diesel specific Extended Life Coolant (incidently which is blue) by the 20L drum called TEC PGXL Coolant
See: Extended Service Coolants

and:

I haven't changed over yet because you have to do the full flush as described in Brian's link because the joe-average coolant may not be compatible with the diesel specific stuff.

Looks good - available by the 20L drum, designed for maximum protection against cavitation in wet cylinder liners in diesel engines. That's the stuff.
Now I also have another job to add to the list!
