Turbo Farts & intermittent Power
#16
Now today,It had been sitting for about 16 hours. No DTC's on KOEO mode, & nothing about the MAF or EGR in KOER. (Dad revved it a couple times & took the MAF off when he cleaned the air filter. I think that's why it threw those codes?) However, it showed P2263 Turbo Boost Performance. Could the new turbo have went out??????????

We have to separate the Bad DTC/Codes from the actual fault DTC
If he had Stuff unplugged and started the truck then its thrown a Bunch of BUNK DTC
We need to get it to a Point we know what DTC is legit and what what dont apply
So write ALL DTC Down at this Time
Then take and unhook Both Batterys ALL Cables and turn Headlights on for 30 minutes this will reset the PCM hook it all back up make shure EVERYTHING IS PLUGGED BACK IN BEFORE TURNING IGNITION ON
THEN DRIVE IT LET IT THROW ALL DTC AGAIN or get a Scanner that reads Live Data Like ScanGaugeII will do what youn need
I assume this DTC below is the problem However IDK The problem is when the MAF sensor was Unplugged it could have affected everything else down the Line

I take it you replaced the Turbo For the Turbo Farts and Intermittened Power am I OK to ASSUME THIS?????????????????????????????????????????????? ?????????
NO^^^^^
You have a Leak or Bad Sensor

Yes sir, we put a new turbo on because it totally ran out of power going up a small hill empty, blew a bunch of black smoke, & "farted." THEN, it started idling real rough after we put a new turbo on it. Took it to the mechanic, who said 4 injectors were bad. He replaced all 8. I'll do the resetting of the PCM tomorrow. Thanks for all the help. I greatly appreciate it!

Sounds Like its Got a Leak or Bad Sensor
I dont think the Old Turbo was Bad because sounds like it runs like ***** still
Clean the MAP Hose its the Hose off the Passenger side intake manafold and hose runs to valve mounted by the Heater unit by the Cowl

Haven't cleaned either the tube or sensor yet. It just had low power that once (after injectors & turbo), but it "farts" every time Dad floors it. Sorry for any previous confusion. The mechanic who put the injectors in said not to worry about it & that "6.0s do that". I claim BULL puckey.

It turned out to be a MAP sensor. This helped for a little while. Then it started doing it again. So we (my father) replaced the Map sensor without reading the codes. Now it's back to fluctuating on power. For example we hauled pretty close to 10k 100 miles & it did okay. Then on the way back (empty) Dad said it "ran like sh#$". I just did a KOER & got PO1O2 (Mass or volume air flow circuit low input) & P1408 ( EGR flow out of self test range) I didn't get it up to operating temps or drive it & of course, being deaf, can't tell you what it sounds like. So I am asking for your help again.
