I hate looking for tires....

Going to need a set in the near future so I have been slowly checking local options. Even though I used to sell them for a short time, I still hate the dealings.

Has anyone run the DEFINITY DAKOTA made by Cooper, sold by PEP Boys? $138 each plus mount and balance....then send in rebate and get $138 back...for am 31/11.50/15 A/T. Everything else is at least $150+ more.

Our Bronco is our rainy day vehicle as the '11 Mustang GT/CS does not go down the red clay when raining. We don't do any off roading anymore....just love the Bronco. Current tire is a 30x9.50/15 A/T wimpy tire. Would like 33's but the issues with gearing and power is hardly worth it even though the 5.0 runs great.

Im getting ready to try the Adventuro m/t's next week...but I can attest to the perfomance of the GT Radial adventuro A/T 2's...great tire never once left me stuck...low road noise...great tread life...all around awesome tire....even better price!!

If you have a Discount tire anywhere nearby i would also check with them. They do price matching even if the place is online like tire rack. Though my tires are definitely not what you want, i think my MTR Kevlars were a great deal and they made a HUGE difference in the ride. At 35 x 12.5 x 15R they were around $201 per tire with a $16 lifetime balance and $1 removal fee of the old tires. On tire rack these are $220 per tire. Not including shipping and mounting.

Discount tire will ship the tires to you free of charge. Just have to find a local shop to mouont and balance.

Home - Discount Tire Direct

I hate looking for tires, because tires are very $$$. My last set I put on the 2010 were ~$930. Dang 10" wide rear wheels.....

Problem with the shipping is dealing with any replacements/damages it a pain. That is why I try to avoid tire rack also. Some shops around here will come real close to matching the on line deals but they also charge a good amount to mount those bought online. Having worked in a fairly large tire sales shop in the past, I can relate to the issues of bringing in on line purchases to get mounted.
