Hey Everyone,


I am updating an old pecan tree shaker that has an old Ford 390 motor. My question is on the wiring configuration. Currently this is the way it's setup:


1. #10 wire from ignition (IGN) >ballast resistor > + terminal on coil.(- terminal on coil > distributor).
2. #10 wire from ignition (BAT) > to main post on solenoid.
3. #16 wire from ignition (SOL) > "s" solenoid.
4. #10 wire from alternator > battery.
5. #10 wire from other main post on solenoid to the starter.
6. #4 battery cable from battery to one main post on solenoid.
7. #4 battery cable from other main post on solenoid to starter


Is this correct?? I will attach a drawing.
