I recently bought a 2005 XLT police vehicle that had the 3rd row seat removed. I bought it as it was a 5.4 (300hp), 4x4, with working a/c, HD tow package, 3.73 limited slip... I need it as a tow vehicle so it should fit the bill nicely in that regard. That and it was CHEAP!

Anyway the 3rd row seat was removed, and i needed to add it back for the occasional time i need more seating, and to make the rear cargo area flat instead of the gapping hole there now.

I found a power folding 3rd row seat online that matches my interior pretty cheap and id like to grab it... the only issue is that my truck is not a power folding truck. (no switches) can i use this seat? is there a way to manually fold it? or, can i add the switches? (ie, is the wiring hidden under the floor)

if anyone has run into this let me know, or if you own the power folding model and you can fold them manually that would help too....

If you are in the Miami area go to Cairo lane in Opa Locka and search the boneyards for the cheaper seat. A seat from an earlier truck might work well also, or you might be able to get all of the wiring and switches with a seat from the boneyard. You are looking at a lot of work to install all of the wiring and stuff for the power seat. If you can take everything from a boneyard donor you will at least know how it is supposed to go together.

 

Probably be cheaper to just get the manual seat even though the power one is in front of you at the moment. Deals come and go.
