Congrats on getting yours home!!! Was it what you expected?
Just worried she won't herself after getting almost a whole new body. She may not look like the picture I have had in my head of her after either. Just really miss seeing her.
Needs more work but drove it yesterday.
Youll enjoy this one if the body in good shape. Body work sucks.

When I said she is being rebuilt, it is 95% body work. I have been buying body parts for years. I never thought the bed would have gotten MI cancer so bad, but it did. The only original body parts will be the doors, front fender panel floor in cab area and half the roof before the top. Her engine only had needed a rear main seal replaced and new radiator. She still needs a front end alignment, but can't do that until I get her back.
Pulled the '78 up to the shop, brakes not working very well, pads were shot. Noticed the hub was loose so pulled it and inspected and repacked the wheel bearings. Now I'm having issues with the hub. First it wouldn't lock, took it apart and re installed it,( forgot the spring) then it wouldn't disengage. Maybe I'll hunt up a set of Warn premium hubs to put on it instead.
Have not done it yet but it seems that I blew up a brake wheel cylinder on my way home from work this morning. I have a new one laying around here somewhere.
Front end ready for action now, repacked bearings and installed some Warn lockouts that I had on the shelf. Also new set of brake pads on the front. If I have time I'll pull the rear drums and see what is left of those pads.

That stupid thing sat in the same spot for at least two years. It is now missing in action.

Wipers started working again! Turned on the key to run and turned wiper switch to low. Reached under the dash and wiggled the motor and it started working! I'll have to pull most of the dash apart to get to it if it needs changed, so it looks.
Called the dealer where my Bronco's transmission is STILL waiting to get fixed. No return phone call yet. Been over two weeks!
I decided to go with the Ford reman transmission and not Monster.....(I hope I haven't made a mistake!)
I think I'm having separation anxiety!
I completely understand separation anxiety! It real SUCKS, but everyone keeps telling me to think of how happy I will be when I get mine back so I am passing this suggestion on to you. It hasn't helped me, but maybe it will you. Hang in there!!
Baby Princess has been gone since the end of Feb for her rebuild.
