I still need to fix my own seat. The frame is messed up. I need to get a new one, then drop that and maybe the old one off to get new covers made. I want the oem style green seats. New foam and working hardware would make it much more comfortable.

I've also thought about doing black vinyl but that would mean doing the rear as well.

Finnally got back to working on it, fixed/reinstalled my choke cable which made it possible for me to turn the idle down, and re-tune the carb. Actually got it running better than i have ever had it before. Also fabricated a coolant reservoir and rewired my heater blower motor. Amazing what happens when i actually get around to spending time on it. now just got to figure out why half my dash works half the time, and some of it doesn't work at all. I also went and checked out a possible donor truck with a 4 speed manual that i am somewhat exited about!

Nothing today but my new drive shaft should be done soon. I had to have a new one built after my tree stump incident. So, the shop is welding that up. Once I get that, the yoke can be changed and everything assembled. Then a test drive!

Manfred, roughly $600. It'll be a brand new one that I guess would be up to stock spec. It wasn't done yet so I'll check again today.

Brake booster and master cylinder done.....brakes bled. Broken passenger mirror removed and new mirror installed.
Thanks Ebay!
Changed the passenger front turn lamp bulb. WHAT A PAIN!! I had to remove the battery and battery tray to get to it for my bear paw sized hands!!
Got her towed out today to a transmission shop. See what they say. I just got to get her back on the road!!

Bought one today, 86 with hopefully only some minor engine issues.

It's rougher than the pictures would imply, I would say it's clean for the price. Previous owner got it from a tow yard sale, missing the stereo and back seat and has the typical cracked dash.

It started running rough for the guy, he was told it's a lifter issue but has no mechanical skills so opted to sell it. I found it on a Facebook buy-sell-trade page, was able to talk him way down on the price by flashing some hundred dollar bills and having a car trailer to get it off his property that instant.

Not sure if I'm going to keep it long term or get it running correctly and try and flip it for some profit.

It's an 86 with the fuel injected 302.

Is jumping a tooth common?
