Oh, and get her name off your bank account first thing.
She has done the banking since we got married. But thats why I get checks straight to me from some side jobs to be sure I have untraceable spending cash. The "shop" is the garage and she walks through it to access the washer and dryer so I'm sure I would be castrated for that one, however, her sister is cute...

That is my usual response and I think it might be part of why I'm in trouble now.

Thanks for the suggestions so far guys. Nice to know I'm not the only one dealing with this kind of problem.

Well.......the ole' Bronco is still sitting in the garage. Transmission is in. Been doing a lot of small little projects on it such as interior stuff and upgrading interior lights to LED's. Let's just say the Florida sun and heat is not kind to vehicles here!! Everything I try to take apart usually breaks and then I go into search mode on Ebay....buy it..... and then wait for it to be shipped. It seems to be a vicious cycle!!

Like I said....tranny is in and I believe I have found...at least maybe part of the problem of why the tranny went bad in the first place. I was trying to blow out and clean the cooler lines and found them all but clogged. Got them cleared partly, but still has too much restriction. I'm assuming rust or trash from sitting so long. I don't really want to replace the radiator!

Thinking about just running an external tranny cooler and bypassing the one in the radiator.
Can anyone suggest a good transmission cooler?? Maybe one with an auxiliary fan. SW Florida does get pretty hot.

You should be able to take your rad out to a good shop and let them boil it out. (dont know if they actually boil them out anymore, but the principle should be the same)

Spent some time mocking the new front bumper into place after I spent @$60 buying grade 8 bolts. Hope to get more done on Wednesday.

Got a nice used B&M tranny cooler from a guy with a blown up drag car. Will work on getting it installed this weekend. Going up to South Carolina tomorrow AM to bring back a car and hopefully I won't freeze to death!

Got the repair light socket installed on passenger door and installed the new power mirror on driver's door. (Thanks to Ebay! Re-pop for $31.25)) Looked at the passenger mirror and tried to swing it out.........and it broke! So I'll be ordering the other mirror next week! (I knew I should have ordered both!)
FYI......the courtesy lamp socket for the doors for F series trucks and Bronco's (and a lot of other models) is Motorcraft WPT-212 and range between $20-$25 bucks.

I ain't done it as yet but I got my Big Boy pants on
and am trying to get out to try a starter I drilled out the
upper hole on in hopes I can twist it into the ring gear
enough for her to start. The 10 tooth drive gear is still
two weeks out so I have to do or try something to get to
the store. We wont starve as I just put a turkey in the oven.
But it would be nice to have something to go with it.
Okay I am out of here. Will let ya know how it goes if I
can still type when I get done. Murphy's law said I will
prolly slip and bust a knuckle or two. Or drop the starter in
my face and bust out what teeth I have left.

Well I got the modified starter in and it still won't catch. Don't know where
to go from here. I hate not being able to bump start and auto trans.
Wait on the 10 tooth I guess. I just hope the Civic will run another week.

I took a 4 hour road trip yesterday to pick up a complete tailgate from Craigslist because it still has the window, motor, and wiring that are all in working order for cheaper then I could buy just the glass.

I could use the switch from one of your gates, Mine stopped working and I had to wire a toggle in it's place.

I tried to put a stock set of pulleys on my 460, it's not working well for me. Alt belt keeps rolling off. I've adjusted the alternator forward and back still no luck with it yet. Shopping for new radiator because mine seems to spring a new leak every day. Now I'll also be replacing the starter because it died. Cold weather is hard on stuff, isn't it spring yet?

If I had an extra I would hook you up. Unfortunately the PO of mine took all of the wiring and the switch out of the tailgate and lost it all before I got the Bronco so I just have a hole in the gate. The gate I picked up has the switch but no key so I have to figure out how to work that out now.

If you can pull the key tumbler out, a reputable locksmith might be able to re-key the lock to use the old key.
