Started working on the roof cracks last week. Found out the cracks were in thick bondo from a filled dent not the metal. I had to chisel out the bondo. It had the top to roof gap almost touching on the driver's side.

the Bronco has been doing that 'clunk' thing when you put her in gear for 4 yrs, wife called me from the road last weekend,

'Honey, the truck is making the strange noise going around the on ramp, and there was the loud bang ......

I did not know this truck had Trac-Loc :faint:

What's that? btw, check the tone ring for broken teeth before using it back, it happened when my ring/pinion failed. On other news, I'll have my truck back with a fresh trans tomorrow .

It's done, the fresh E4OD feels great, does what it should and it does it just fine, I can really feel a difference in the performance.

Stopped so fast the roof flew off, then I rolled it, and the roll cage fell out....with a little smoke wrench assistance.

I am afraid it is time to retire this ol tired Bronco to greener pastures

Used a $25 off $50 purchase e-coupon (earned last month when I bought over $100 worth of shocks/stuff) from Advance to get some 6 1/2" door speakers and some more body stuff.. total was $29 including the tax...

Stock speakers are pretty much shot out and sound horrible..

Yes its a 71, I know wrong year forum, but I like to show it off. Besides a Bronco is a Bronco, but a EB, is a touch old school cool IMO.

Had a 66. Still kicking myself for selling it. Guy pretty close to town has 5 or 6 at his house along with a few sheds worth of parts. He also has another 20 or so at another location. Wont sell. I tried to talk him out of one that was in rough shape. Said he would have to inventory the parts he could sell off it. I know he would make more doing that. Finally I gave up.

Heard a weird noise backing up today at work for about 15 feet to get out of a parking spot.. not sure if its the brake rotors in the front or the 20 year old auto-hubs sticking on one side..

I didn't hear any noise after that in forward or when backing up again 2 more times... but to be safe >>>

I found a 20% code for Advance and ordered some MileMarker #302 manual hubs for $53 total with tax included.. Picking them up tomorrow..

I figured why not for $50.. this eliminate one possible issue.. then if it occurs again I can then narrow it down to possibly a stuck caliper or something..
