Exclamation Any Harm in driving in "Tow/Haul" all the time?

Was on highway going up a very steep hill, speed was right at that point where it kept shifting in/out of Overdrive while using cruise control. Got tired of it and popped her into Tow/Haul. Been there all day

Truck acts and feels like a stick shift. Holds RPM's, slows down when you let off the gas...doesn't upshift unless you really need to

I drive 99.99% city at 0-40 mph. Speed limit is 35 mph damn near everywhere. Just wondering if using Tow/Haul all the time is harmful to trans? May or may not kill MPG's. I know a stick truck would get way better MPG's with my daily commute. With my auto trans acting like a stick, has me thinking.
truck is just so much nicer to drive around town with Tow/Haul on. It's like a different animal. I might just do the mod below depending on what y'all think.

Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums - View Single Post - TOW/HAUL- any way to set as start up default???
btw, a tuned PSD in Tow/Haul is flat out 150% more fun than when in just "D". I've always known that about Ford auto transmissions, but for some reason it just hadn't occured to me with this truck

I just started doing the same thing with my modular and I am seeing slightly better mileage around town so far. My driving habits are similar with roughly 90% of my driving at 40mph or less. I am also running the tow tune from mike at 5Star and the combination of the two is awesome!! The truck feels like a different animal around town in tow/haul tune and mode!!
