Best way to clean mouse nest out of air vents?

So... Apparently a mouse decided it wanted a bigger ride when I had my truck in the garage doing my headlight relays. Now whenever I turn the fan on I get an awful smell in the cab. And occasionally bits of chewed up floor mat come out of the vents too.
I'm sure I'm not the first one this has happened to! There must be a way to access the air intake for the blower. Is there a cabin air filter too?
Any tips would be helpful

On the engine bay there is a plastic cover near the firewall, on the passenger's side (you won't miss it, it's a big bulky thing). Take the bolts of it and you will have access to the blower, and part of the air vent. There is no filter that I can think of.

Thanks for the replies. I finally cleaned it out today (good thing it's not my DD!) and it was easy once I removed the vacuum reservoir so I could take the blower motor out. Apparently these mice are pretty dumb - it's obviously a SQUIRREL cage fan, not a mouse cage fan!
There was a huge nest way down in there. I think it had been in there for a few years unused and someone decided to move back in.

Does anyone know exactly where the air comes from that feeds the blower fan? It kinda looks like it comes from under the passenger side floorboard or something. Hard to tell when it's dark out.

Are 96's the same as far as that cover? I've got the EXACT thing going on with my truck...nothing worse than that mouse smell when you turn on the fan...

No idea. Seems like it shouldn't be too much different.
That smell almost made me not want to drive the truck!
