Thanks for your response. Just one more question. When you say "capable of it" do you mean that even though Ford rates the truck at 10K it is capable of much more without damaging anything? I understand about the legal aspect but I am also concerned about not damaging the truck.

Stay within the capacities of your axles and tires and you will be fine.

an F350 SRW has a GVWR of 11500 and the parts are not different other than a block on the rear. A DRW has a GVWR of 13,000 and once again, the parts really arent different other than an extra tire on each side. These things are over designed for weight. Tires are the weak spot. Always is.
