what size fan clutch wrench? 95 F150 302

Hey guys... I got tired of searching for the answer to this so I'm going to try posting the question:

What size fan clutch wrench do I need to remove the fan clutch on a 95 F150 with a 302? I wanted to buy the wrench instead of renting it. O'Reilly's had a "set" that they wanted to sell me for $75.99 and I figured I might could find the one wrench I need for cheaper as opposed to buying an entire set.

Also, how thick are those wrenches? I'm asking because I may could make one with a metal cutting blade on my reciprocating saw and a piece of sheet metal.

Thanks in advance and forgive me if i looked over the answer during my search.

Myself I use an appropriately sized pair of channel locks "straight" jaw, work just fine.

wow... really? I have a 12" set just like those (except Channel Lock brand). I've never changed out a fan clutch before. Is the issue more of the size of wrench needed (i.e. 36mm, 40mm, etc.) and not the thickness of the wrench?

Yea on some fans the thickness of the tool used can and will come into play, some the nut if very short offering very little clearance to grab it. However I have yet to need that "special" tool offered to remove one.

Nut should be right hand thread unless noted otherwise on fan shroud.

Okay good to know. One last question (I think, lol): how long does it take to do, provided that I don't run into any major problems? I've done lots of work on the truck so this doesn't sound that complicated of a task.
