16" or 16.5" 5 lug rims

Does anyone know where I can find 16' or 16.5" 5 lug rims to fit a ford truck F150? They need to be the 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern.Does anyone even make these rims??

16" or 16.5" 5 lug rims

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 07-Aug-02 AT 07:30 PM (EST)]They're made, but they're not very popular. I used to have a set on an F150. The last time I checked, Summit Racing carried them (I believe in American Racing or Eagle). I only happened to look at the white spoked "wagon" wheels, which is what I had, but they may also be available in other styles..... (I'm speaking of 16 X 7's..... I'm unsure of the case with 16.5's or wider widths).

In any case stay away from the 16.5 rims, as they are hard to find tires for.

There are in fact plenty of tires available for the 16.5" rim. I would go with the 16" though due to the nature of the 16.5" rim being more susceptable to losing the tire bead when aired down too low. Like 10 psi or lower... speaking from experience here...

Try checking a junkyard for latter model trucks. the 97 later I use 16's and I believe they are the same bolt pattern. You just have to measure it.

97-up uses the metric bolt pattern and won't interchange with older 5 hole rims.

5 on 4.5 for an F150?? I think you need 5 on 5.5 but you could probably find either as some newer Exploders got 16" wheels.

Just call Tyres Intl or Natl Tire and Wheel
http://www.tyres1.com/
http://www.natltire.com/

They'll have it or can get it.

I was wondering if you had had any luck on this?
I had also heard that the Dodge 5 on 5.5 wheels would work, but had also heard the that the center hole might be too small.
Have any ideas where this could be checked out?
