1989 f450

I've done a search but haven't found the information I need. So here goes: I'm in the process of restoring a dump truck, 1989 f450. It has disc brakes all around, which is a nice feature. The problem is the backing plates are rusted out and I haven't been able to find replacements, new or used. Any help finding these parts would be appreciated. I also drive an F250 5.8. And have a 1977 F600 dump truck which needs some work. So, I guess i'm in the right place. Thanks. Treetom.

The truck you have isn't actually called an "F450" it's an "F-superduty" so try searching under that. No truck was called an "F450" until '99 so searching for "1989 F450" will probably not yield many results.

Thanks tjc. Ordering rotors and pads form Advance Auto I've identified the truck as an '89 f53. Backing plates for Dana 80. Another lead...

Dont worry about the backing plates unless they are so rotted the e-brake shoes will not go on

On the rear, disk brakes, the plates are gone, except for the bolts and a little piece of sheet metal. Aren't the "backing plates" on hubs different than the plates used with disk brakes, disk brakes plates being just a protective cover/splash gurard?
