Evening guys! Work has been a little rough today...and yesterday! Really missing the Dells weather!! Just brutally hot and high humidity here too Mitch. I'm with Doug, even the drinking should be done indoors. Roy would melt here for sure!
Just ordered new Bilstein 4600 shocks for my truck along with a steering stabilizer. Unfortunately, I experienced the "Death Wobble" coming through the hills of Kentucky on the way home and want to get it rectified! I called looking for the 5100s but the salesman called Bilstein and they recommended the 4600s, so I called them myself as most of you have the 5100s. Two different guys said that the difference is that the 46s will give a firmer ride than the 51a as they are tuned for lifted trucks even for stock apps and would ride softer. So, I called BS and called Rodney. He showed me where Bilstein said that they were valved the same, the 51s were just prettier and matched Rodney's truck . Anyway after a long discussion with the Bilstein reps, I ordered the 4600s and a 5100 stabilizer and they should be here Monday as they are all in Atlanta.
André, happy birthday to your daughter. Trent enjoyed playing games with them at the G2G.
Later guys.

I just can't buy things that aren't silver Monty...

Bilstein must have some new hires there... The following sums up what I was saying on the phone.

http://www.shockwarehouse.com/news/i...heavy-duty.cfm

Here's a response to another guy on a forum who contacted Bilstein about this where they told him the exact opposite of what they told you Monty...

"Internally, the basic design of the shocks is the same, and though there is a slight difference in the shock stiffness between the HD’s and the 5100’s, it is minor. The HD’s will be slightly more comfortable, but the 5100’s will handle slightly better, but on normal roads at normal speeds, it will be virtually impossible to tell any difference."

Howdy Gang!

Monty, hope today is better for you than the last two days have been and you get to enjoy the a/c.

Dak, those carts are pretty cool,, but I am so far out of touch with the price of carts that I about choked when I saw the prices pushing $18k.

Roy, when eating crap pizza, remember that hot sauce makes everything edible.

Hope you all have a pleasant and safe day.
