We just had a 6.2 Earthquake. Roy sleeps like a bear. Didn't feel it or realize it.
I was half asleep and I sure as heck felt it. Only lasted 20 seconds.
Toss up between earthquakes and hurricanes. At least with hurricanes you get some kind of warning. Here, it's ohh Chit...
Although it shook everything around, no damage...
Carl have a safe trip back to your vacation!

Good evening gang.
Dak, earthquakes may be something you have to get used to now, as you begin to forget about hurricanes. The only earthquake I have ever experienced was while in A School for the Seabees in California. It was a 5.0 in the middle of the night after LOTS of adult beverages at the EM Club on base and I happened to have been trying to get a drink of water from the water fountain in the barracks at the time the quake struck. For several seconds, I thought maybe I had drank more than I remembered, and then it sort of dawned on me what was going on. A 5.0 is small enough, it was an "enjoyable" experience. I'm not sure I would want any part of a 6.2 - even though the buildings are mostly designed to handle it ok.
Carl, have a safe trip back up north.
Roy, I'm enjoying the updates on the JGG thread, as well as the neat pics.
Howdy Gerry, Tim, Steve, Andre and Brett!
You guys have a good evening. I'm hoping to stay very bored.

Good evening, crew!! Been busy today......got JEEP all loaded up in gooseneck, ready to go wheeling. Taking some boy scouts to the Black Hills of South Dakota and play in the rocks a bit.......I think 4 rigs are going down, should be a good time! And the scouts are furnishing fuel and food, so why not? Then on Sunday, I will get to go visit with an old oil field friend just across the line in Wyoming before coming home again !
