Not yet, the buyer has to get funding from his credit union. Apparently he has a verbal deal already made with them, but can't get off work until Friday to take possession and sign the paperwork. He is oilfield trash too and I fully understand his work schedule.

His wife and he drove the son's truck around last weekend, loved the truck and we have been going back and forth on final sales price for a week. It is hard to contact the son as he is flying all over China putting out drilling fluid fires. He flew over 2400 miles from one rig to another a couple days ago. North of North Korea to an island down by Viet Nam. Just a little difference in weather conditions, lol.

That only applies to the particular NXX though ... in Canada you can now port your phone number between carriers within the same NPA, so you'd need access to SS7 to get information about a particular number in question, and so far I haven't found a website that offers free lookups. At some telephone COs there are typically 1 or more DS1s that carry SS7 information and there's a maintenance terminal to hop on... although many of the newer ones carry that information packet-switched.

I've had several of these offers coming from craigslist. Always some sob story. Usually they don't even ask/haggle on price. Never felt legit to me, once I say cash on the barrelhead I never hear from them again......

 

Better go easy on that Roy, do not send him any of your information, there have been several scams like this lately. Sounds like a scam to me, May not be, but proceed with caution.
