There was nothing left to show. She already had all 16 lbs of my meat in her hands, scanning it and checking it out. She also commented that it would take her two full months to swallow all of that meat if it was just her without any friends.

Gotta love meat jokes . Brings out the teenager in all of us!

Today I received what I thought was my cab lights. Instead I got 3/5, no wire harness, and the wrong air filter all wrapped up with a shipping label that says they shipped me everything.

Not happy about that, but at least its the weekend!

My Platinum was 67 and some change and I paid 53,050 for it back in Texas (Houston).

I agree my Friend !!
Gerry, the wifey and I started taking about the safety factor.....and increased chance of a mechanical problem. Now that we know we are over doing it for our current truck, we should do something about it. Money is limited. The local Bison Ford wants too much.
Today we went to Jim Taylor Motors in Ft. Benton MT, about 40 miles away. They offered us a Good deal. Has to be ordered....Ok. Expect, 10 - 12 weeks.
The KR DRW CC LB configuration that I want came to $69,065. Dealer discount to $64,366.....less $3K from Ford...= $61,366. That number will work with the cash I have in my current truck plus 2.29% financing from Navy Federal Cr Union. I still have one more dealer to check out of town Monday. Lynn has given her Ok to do this......so it will happen. I expect to place the order by Wednesday.
We are going to attempt to sell my current truck right away......I will advertise $42K.
Christmas Present time........

Andre'.........It comes with Cab Clearance Lights........

I should have bought a dually when I got this truck, but it is my daily driver and I talked myself out of it. At the time our fifth wheel was under 10k and I only occasionally tow an 18k gooseneck short distances. Now the fifth wheel is around 16k and the SRW is maxed out. I'm still pretty comfortable with that, but it is asking a lot from the tires. I'm at a point now where I could sell the 11 for about 15k less than I paid for it 4 years ago. I may be truck shopping yet this year! I was looking forward to no more truck payments in the near future, but if I'm ever going to make the move, now is the best time financially. When the 16s come out, the leftover 15s may get cheaper, but I'm pretty picky about my trucks and can't usually settle on something on the lot. I know a 16 isn't going to be the best financial option and my truck is only losing value by the month. It would also be nice to dump this Job 1 before the warranty runs out. It has in the past exhibited the rough running, knocking problem that prompts them to replace valves, but it hasn't done it in so long the dealer wouldn't do anything about it anyway. Those valves are always in the back of my mind.

Good luck on your search Roy! Are you going to transfer the moose bumper?
Hi Matt.........I agree......Now is the time to sell the 2011. 49,600 miles.
MIne is a Job 2 ..........but ????? who knows.

I will also order. I will have to purchase a new Moose Bumper.......

I will leave the B&W gooseneck/companion 5th wheel hitch with the 2011. I will go Ford's Prep package and Gooseneck pkg...... I will go to B&W Puck system hitch that works with Ford's prep system. (About $950 vs Ford's Reese hitch for $1500.)

This weight was Memorial day, lots of extra parts and tools I don't normally bring with about 100 gallons of fresh and full propane. For an off the beaten path trip perhaps an extra spare for the truck is all I would do.

My 5th wheel has 3 - 6K lb axles. The weight on my trailer axles was 12,860. which is about 4300 lbs per axle.......So, I am being easy on the trailer undercarriage........
The trailer Gross was 17,240......which put 4,380 on the Truck. (pin Weight)... That is high for the SRW rear axle.

Then if I add an Aux fuel tank for the Alaska trip............I just can't.

The duallies don't have TPMS right? I only need 4 sensors for my trailer. It looks like Vulcan Tire is the ticket. $229 for a 4 sensor system. I can always add sensors later if I end up with a fat girl!

Do the sensors disable if they loose signal to the monitor? I store my equipment trailer about a half mile away. The specs show 5-7 years but if the sensors are always searching for signal, it'll significantly reduce the battery life.

The TST 507RV system claims 12 month battery life. They draw current as long as their is air pressure in the sensor. Basically, I will remove my sensors for the Winter. The batteries that they use can be bought for less than $1 each.

This system doesn't search for a signal, the sensors send a signal at timed intervals regardless of the presence of the monitor. I'm sure other systems work differently.

Roy, I wasn't insinuating that you didn't get the best price. $299 is the best I have seen for a 6 sensor system. I just don't need 6 right now.

Great RV price matches and they are offering an extra 1 year of warranty coverage this month. It appears to be a good lead. Thanks, Roy!

Once we in fact order the new truck.....I'll check with them for 6 more sensors for the truck.

When we traveled this summer........It was so relaxing to glance at the display and see the temp and pressure of each tire as the system sampled each tire one at a time. Knowing that an alarm would sound if something went amiss was comforting......
