Wow I slipped quite far behind on this thread.
I decided to take the long way
My first vehicle ever was my 2004 6.Oh, now I'm ruined for life 'cause gasser trucks don't even compare.
I dunno about that. I had to switch positions at work 'cause I couldn't stand dealing with a fleet GM truck anymore. I don't care if it's "paid for" by the company when I'm hating every second driving it. (I finally did negotiate an agreement that I get compensated to run my Ford for work.)
I can say with absolute certainty that I won't be considering a GM pickup truck for a while.
Well what do you think about something like this then?
Well, the Dodge got taken away to get re-geared with 4.10s, why not ... since the wheel bearing needs to be fixed anyway.
Last week was cold and snowy and wet.

One day it's blue skies and nice,
the next day
Toying around with LED headlamp retrofits. We'll see how these pan out, I spent many hours trying to adjust these to aim the beam with a proper cutoff. My concern is that they run quite cool, so they won't be melting the snow in the winter time, which is a problem. Same problem that we're having up here with traffic lights in the winter time freezing up. If they don't work out, I'll either go to a regular HID kit, or my buddy is asking me to let him do some FXR retrofit lights in the stock housings.
I liked my painted grille bars, so I dropped the big bucks on some 2014 grille bars, which are actually all-black. That way when I get rock chips, it's still black underneath.
$130 a piece! But at least they're made in Canada I guess...
New parking brake pedal. I used my parking brake so much I broke the original pedal.
