This is prolly a 1 page thread at most
Evidently they know what you have. Anyway to "transfer" it out of state through a person to person "sale"? Texas comes to mind, since you have a friend or two there who also happen to have a crapload of guns.
In the article, she says that if you bought your gun before Wednesday, you were ok.

So, here's the synopses. I bought guns legally. After 18 years of the law being interpreted a certain way, she has now changed that interpretation and the purchases are now illegal and considered bought through a "loophole." The letter of the law now says I bought guns that were a felony to purchase. However, not only is it illegal for me to own them but it is also illegal for me to sell or give them away... not that I would. Hows that for damned if you do, damned if you don't?
Yes, all guns in MA are required to be registered with the state so everything I have is known to them. No way to transfer or sell them as the act of transferring is what has been deem illegal. It was illegal for it to be transferred to me and is illegal for me to rid myself of any extra scary black rifle by transferring it to someone else whether in state or out of state. Yes, in her statement she said anything before 7/20 was OK but that is from the Boston Globe story. If you read the actual directive she issued, she states she will not prosecute "for now" and then ends with wording to the effect of, she reserves the right to change that in the future.

Perhaps she will lose the next election, and someone else will "interpret" the law differently, or perhaps the legislature will interpret it their own way.
There is currently no legal way without moving. The legislature is going nuts as they were sidestepped overnight. Even the Dems want to be involved. (Even if it's just to get their place on the statehouse steps when such nonsense is announced.) It may get overturned but it's just another brick in the wall here in MA. We've wanted to move to Maine for years but didn't want to leave family and friends but at some point you have to say, gotta go...

Doug, that is a HOT thread. 337 pages in 36 hours. Even the 1 pager would have trouble keeping up. At this point, if you're interested, I'd go to the end and read backwards as it's a very fluid situation.
Fox News just woke up. Stats don't support Massachusetts AG's expanded ban on 'assault weapons' | Fox News
I think the most amazing statistic is that in the last 5 years, 2 of the states 700+ homicides were committed with a rifle of ANY kind. 35 murders were committed with hands or feet...
