Good morning guys!

That fire looks HUGE and those people need some help. I pray for low winds, lots of rain and the flames to extinguish.

Good to know your drive is safer Doug. Always gotta keep the head on a swivel, even when walking in the mall.

Andre - Yeah, I hope they get some relief soon too.

Ya it's pretty bad around here right now. 2 week forecast shows nothing for rain. All our guys that were working up there are home safe.

Have fun fellas!

And we have idiots like this starting fires. Burnt down a 100+ year old train bridge last weekend not too far from home.

ESPECIALLY when walking in the mall.

Darren, do you think the government may rethink their strategy now? Budget cuts aren't always the best way to save money.

Don't say budget cuts won't work here Doug. Those are fighting words. Everyone wants the government to cut there way out of the budget hole... Yeah, there is some fat here, but not $4 BILLION in fat. Remember there are only 700k people in the entire state!

American politics are certainly entertaining right now.

I can't make any sense of it Doug. You nailed it though. Our Alberta gov is running the largest deficit IN HISTORY this year so I have no clue how there are any cuts???? Between business / personal tax increase and the loss of some tax breaks (like income splitting) it looks like I will be paying close to 10% more tax this year and all in the name of the largest deficit ever. Anyway, don't get me started LOL. 4 more years, 4 more years, 4 more years ......

Sad story Darren, but we have seen this before. The person ho fights the fires starts them to fight them... It's a psychological thing.

Ya definately something wrong there. I wonder what that bridge will cost to replace, it was built in 1914 LOL. It was #5 on the list

Unfortunate that it seems as though first responders are always the first to see budget cuts when the government gets out of control.

Sorry to hear it Roy. Got to take care of them You only get 2 and they are hard to replace. One of the reasons I wear safety glasses whenever I'm working around the truck, rv or doing plumbing or carpentry. Must have about 20 pair stashed all over.
