Howdy crew. Just got off of night shift this morning, grabbed a few hours of sleep and going to do a few chores around the house before helping the ex this afternoon with setting up her new tv. She is NOT electronic savvy. Lucky for her, I'm not a vindictive *****, nor is my fiance the jealous type.
Have a great day all!

Glad Lynn got you up this morning Roy...
Gerry - A welcomed December...
I like the no nonsense school districts, however, they also need a dash of common sense thrown in as well. Glad to see some still exist.
For the longest time school districts covered up problems by not making arrests or doing suspensions. All that gets recorded. One of the reasons my last school district formed their own police department and kicked the county officers out. They couldn't control how the crime was reported on a police report or whether an arrest was made. Easiest way to do that - form your own Police Department and have them report to you.
Happy Tuesday...

Dak, the county next to mine does not have SROs(school resource officers). The sheriff is widely known across the state and US for that matter for his pro-second amendment stance, but believes the officers can't serve two masters. He believes that they are either there to enforce the law or to enforce school rules. You can't do both. So his officers are sen in the schools almost daily, but have no affiliation with them. It has worked very well. To show you how bad the school system is in my county at times, when the board voted to pay for SROs, they told the Sheriff that they were not to be armed!!! The Sheriff told them to hire a private company as his officers would not be dressed under the color of law and be disarmed! The Sheriff prevailed and they are in our schools with mixed emotions.
Attorneys....ugg...I was on the stand once and they twisted what I said and judge had to get things back on track the way I said it happened in the first place.
Monty - Are SROs are armed and we were armed when we were in the schools... They used to disarm us in court, until a couple of out of control outbursts with violent criminals happened and every officer left to go get their gear... The judge was furious as to why we all left -- but we said, to go get our gear so we can respond the way we were trained to....
