Howdy all.

Been several months since I've last posted. Just been super busy with that thing called life. I'm writing this from the hospital where I'm with the wife awaiting the birth of our daughter. It's looking like we will have our wish come true of having her born on the 4th of July. So far so good as they are inducing her now so things are good and proceeding well.

Truck news...
Back in February was involved in a minor accident. It was more me avoiding a accident in front of me. Didn't think a big truck could maneuver quite so well. A few paint scrapes on the drivers side and a chipped windshield. The paint issues were taken care of but had problems with them replacing the windshield. They put in windshield but it was not the same one that was installed from the factory. The factory one had sound shield on the bottom and the new one did not. When I asked the dealership about this they said this was the only window available. It was a factory ford part as well. The window allowed or rather transmitted a lot of wind noise in which the previous one did not. I ended up calling ford directly and after a few days a regional manager called me and that she had contacted the dealer and was gathering information. Within about a week the dealer called and apologized and said that I was right in saying that they did not get me the correct window, apparently they installed the cheaper one. They ordered the proper one and I dropped it off this week to have it installed and a very squeaky seat fixed as well as some clunking when braking.

I've also installed a front & rear bumper from road armor. Will post some pictures when we are out of the hospital and get the truck back.

Sorry about your truck woes. Mine says sound screen on the bottom too and always wondered if I would be able to find that windshield when it was time to get mine replaced. It is inevitable in AK that you will get a windshield replaced. I have several small chips in the outer glass.

My son did some yard work today. Teaching him how to use the weedeater... He got the drainage ditches weed eated... Now to have him work on the 1,000 of fence line and around the trees... That will be a tomorrow or the day after type deal.

 

Mitch..........Hope your compensation is adequate for all the labor expended.

Good to hear Carl has been busy aranging all the legal stuff to distribute 1 million dollars to each of us from the 100 million that he won last week.....

Sewardians waste no time launching their Fourth of July fireworks. The spectacle gets underway at 12:01 a.m. Saturday. Later that morning, Seward's famous footrace will push athletes to the limit over a 3,022-feet mountain course. Juniors start at 9:30 a.m., women at 11:15 a.m. and men at 3 p.m. Take in the food and crafts booths, games and more.

 

Why i don't like Disney in Florida in the summer... I know that Disney goes all out for special effects, but this time it was mother nature providing the show.

IN the last 2 days......Seward has doubled in population again........Tents are pitched alone side the roads......on school grounds....motor homes and trailers in every conceivable parking spot.

EDIT: Update.....Seward pop normally is 4,500. This weekend...40,000.
