QUESTION...............

I discovered today that a Cenex fuel station here carries Premium Diesel.
What is it....what does it do over the standard diesel ?

"Premium Diesel" has a higher cetane rating than regular diesel... Shell typically carries premium diesel too. They don't up here in AK - in fact there is a sign on the Shell diesel pumps that states "this is not a shell product" on the pump....

I do wish that stations were required to put the min. cetane rating on the pumps. Some do, but it isn't a "law" so most do not.

Welcome to Mississippi, set your clock back 20 years! But, it's home and I love it!
Wish I was at home, and you were headed to South Mississippi, treat you to some good groceries! Be careful on the road.
Evening everybody, y'all been pretty busy the last day or so, I'm still fighting this well.......turning into a marathon!

Stopped by my nephews shop to pick up some LED lights for my truck. He imports them and owes me a few favors. So the price is right. I parked behind his dodge.

Now my truck is a F-350 that has been leveled and is sitting on 35" tires. Mine is a SRW, CC, LWB truck. Looks puny next to his Mega Runner Dodge.

So I now have a 20" LED light bar that I want to mount in the bumper.
If I bolt it to the bottom of the opening, It sits a little low behind the chrome bumper, I want to shim it up Maybe 1" or 1.5" to better center it between the top and bottom of the opening.

I was thinking a hard rubber that I could drill a hole through for the mounting bolt. Any ideas on where to buy a block of hard rubber or plastic that I could make the shim out of?

Gives a new meaning to the term SUPERcrew, too.

Too bad he didn't spend all that time, money, and effort on a SuperDuty....

You are not doing yourself justice by parking LOWER than his Ram too. Makes you look like a lower rider. But at least you are not towing a ghost trailer.

I bet an industrial supply company would have a block of hard rubber. I know some places that you have to drive to in Miami that would have it, but that doesn't help you. Heck, I can't even get it here in AK either...

I'd be afraid to ask how much money has been injected into your nephews project.....

Perhaps find an old tire and cut a chunk from the sidewall and a piece of square stock.

We are pretty proud of her

And you should be proud of her. She certainly has my respect. Mom and Dad have obviously done a fine job of instilling selfless values in her. Congratulations.

Yes, you are right. We revisited the shop today; I will post some pics tomorrow. Those guys that operate the railroad are really great guys.

The dual sport or adventure bike is the way to go. You will enjoy one. I really liked riding on that bridge. I could not do without a bike.

On the weekend (June 6-7) I will be much closer to you in Melbourne Beach. It's about 70 miles from Orlando and IIRC isn't Altamonte Springs just west of Orlando?

Now the funny part, my rental truck with my luck will be a Chevy Silverado...

Monty - Just moving down the road into actual Anchorage itself. Maybe 15 miles or so away. Assuming we can find something that we like.
Unfortunately, I won't be back in Florida until around June 19th. I really regret that won't be able to meet this trip.

Jon, That's a pretty crazy truck. Looks like he did a did a good job building it. Would have been really cool if it would have been a SuperDuty.
