Good morning gang! I would've checked in earlier, but I had a lot of reading to do to catch up!
Wednesday, my kids took me clothes shopping for Christmas. I absolutely HATE shopping, but I had mentioned to my son a while back that I would soon need his and my daughter's help updating my closet, so they conspired to do it for Christmas. It wasn't as bad as I would have expected the day before Christmas, and being with my kids made for a great day! When we finished up there, we went back to the ex's place and opened gifts and ate a nice dinner. I didn't leave there until 10p.
Christmas morning, I got up at 4a to load up the truck to head to my brother's place up in Plantersville. I got there at 6. He had already been up multiple times throughout the night tending to the smoker, but was back in bed when I arrived. The two boys were up and waiting patiently for everyone else to be up though. We had a great visit and rode horses, opened gifts and had a wonderful meal of smoked ham, smoked turkey and pulled pork which - of course - came from a smoked pork roast. We had lots of sides to go with it and several desserts. I was so stuffed and miserable, I couldn't even think about food when he offered me a to-go plate later. I headed home from his place about 5p yesterday evening and then spent about an hour putting stuff away here after getting back home.
I'll start my 4 night weekend shift tonight, so I'm hoping for smooth sailing at the perfume factory. I hope you all had a great time being with friends and family - when possible - and hope you all have peace and prosperity in the upcoming new year. I appreciate you all.

Bill, keep it coming. I'll be boiling more tonight.
It's Friday, so that means it's also joke day. Since it is also the day after Christmas, here's one that relates:
A Jewish man saves money for years so that his son can make a trip to Israel and discover his roots. When his son returns, much to the father's dismay, he discovers that his son has converted to Christianity.
Looking for guidance, the father goes to the local temple and speaks with his Rabbi. “Rabbi! Rabbi!”, he says, “I sent my son to Israel and he has returned a Christian! What should I do?”
The Rabbi responds, “It's funny you should say that. I also sent my son to Israel many years ago. When he returned, he had converted to Christianity as well!”
The two men decide to seek guidance together, and they approach an older Rabbi. After telling their tale, the older Rabbi responds, “It's funny you should say that. I also sent my son to Israel many years ago. When he returned, he had converted to Christianity as well! So there is only one thing we can do, we must ask God.”
So the three begin to pray. After telling God their story, God answers in a booming voice from the heavens, “It's funny you should say that...”
Have a great day gents!

Happy Boxing Day to the Canadians on the board. Enjoy celebrating the martydom of St. Stephen too.
Made an appointment to take the truck in. Oil level is now getting to the too high mark on the dipstick, so no choice.
Snowed here all day yesterday and it is supposed to snow again later today and tomorrow.
Unfortunately, got a cut on my leg and it is now infected.. Seems to be responding to the Neosporin - so hopefully I can stay out of an ER. My Doctor, is of course, out until Monday. Keeping a close eye on it as sepsis isn't a good thing.
Someone needs to tell this lady to lay off the crystal Meth...
