Thanks Doug, It looked to me like you had your work cut out for you on your two weeks off !!

Yeah Tim, I stayed pretty busy. I showed you guys just a few of the highlights. There were lots more projects and some were big and some were small, but I got a lot done. I'm the kind of guy that cannot fully relax if there is something that needs to be done. I'm better off going ahead and doing it and then goofing off than to try to rest while it is on my mind. Getting stared on the projects is the hardest step for me typically. Once I get going, I usually don't have any problem following through to completion and then I can relax my body AND mind.

Doug, that's funny to hear. I would say that is exactly the same type of person I am...... Good or bad, it is what it is.

I think in most cases it is ok. I find that I end up with more time to relax (in addition to being able to genuinely relax) if I get the work done first. It also seems to be easier to get motivated. There are times though when you just really need to shut it all down for a few days and come back later. I tend to lean a little toward OCD and just can't quit.

I'm not really sure. I did receive the final investigation report, but because it was an outside company, they did not disclose that particular detail. The finger was pointed directly at him though for violating procedure, so my assumption would be that he is seeking employment elsewhere. As a result of this, they have implemented new training and procedures across the entire country to try to prevent this from becoming a possibility ever again unless caused by mechanical failure.

Good morning Guys.........

It is Late...!!
Was up around 0300......really high winds.....Finally got up, dressed and went to the job site to insure all was well. Have about 12 sheets of the 1.5" foam stacked in the yard that wasn't used and I need to return.

We are starting to pack-up this morning. Heading home today.....

Hi Tim, The calving is going great so far.
I have what's called a fall calving herd.
I got forced into it 7 or 8 years ago do to stupidity on my part.
I could not be any happier it happened though. The calves have zero issues compared to the mud and cold with spring calving.
The calves wean earlier and cows breed back better.
The calves get sold as feeders at around 550Lbs. about march 20th.
What is your project for the day ?
